Stories carried by music

Minstrel of the North is a small Swedish band creating music best described as Celtic pop. The sound is inspired by artists such as Loreena McKennitt, Blackmore’s Night and FAUN, while the songs follow their own path through legends, old tales and imagined worlds.

The music combines a folk-rooted atmosphere with memorable melodies and a modern pop sensibility. Some songs retell stories that have travelled for generations; others begin with an original character, place or feeling and grow into a tale of their own.

The Wanderer’s Quest for Avalon, released in 2025, is the band’s first album. Across eleven tracks it moves between celebration, loss, loyalty, farewell and the pull of places that may exist only in story.

A second album is already in progress. As the catalogue grows, the aim remains the same: to make songs that feel like stories worth carrying onward.
